Ruff, Rugged & Raw The Sketchbook Volume:I [NOOK Book]

Overview

Graphic Freestyle is when you take a pencil/pen and just flow over a blank page. The energy is raw, sometimes it can be later refined to create a “masterpiece” but sometimes the energy created during that freestyle can never be recaptured. That is why I put this book together to show that ruff, rugged, & raw graphic freestyle. This sketchbook is filled with that type of energy and I just wanted to share a little with you. That is Ruff, Rugged, & Raw....Enjoy!

Meet the Author

Mike Colston is a freelance artist and author with various influences seen in his work from being raised in the deep south of Alabama. He is located in Blue Bell, PA and works in a wide range of media to further develop his diverse range of styles.

As a child he was surrounded by comics and was self-taught to draw from the influences he saw in early comics and cartoons. The surroundings of Alabama along with the artistic ability gained from his family kept him motivated to push and develop his talent.

Currently, Mike is a member of the Xion Networking Group and has been involved in numerous illustrating projects. His first official sketchbook; The Journeyman Artist Presents: Ruff, Rugged, and Raw, Volume I, was released in 2010. He is currently working on Volume II due to be released in 2012 and his creator-owned comic Legacy Saga is scheduled for release in 2013. He will continue to create and add to his current projects while staying available for additional commissions.
