About the Author

Doug Hills has been drawing comics for himself and others since 2001. He is the artist and co-creator of the webcomics Place Name Here and Chibi Cheerleaders From Outer Space with his wife, Stacey. He has also worked on various independent comics, including “King Pete” (a short story for Top Shelf 2.0), “My Name is Pint” (a short story for SCAMThology), and Dixon’s Notch (with writer Josh Flanagan and letterer Charles Pritchett).

Doug has also helped people understand how to best use Manga Studio for their comic and art production. He is the author and primary artist for Manga Studio for Dummies (released in 2008), and has also produced several tutorial videos for Manga Studio 4 and 5 for Smith Micro. He also answers lot of questions on social media.

He lives in upstate New York with his wife and daughter, and continues to churn out comics and guide books. It’s what he does.
