    Spiritual Warfare: Preparation & Fighting

This is a book that I received from Bethany House Publishers, and I enjoyed it. Quite possibly could have taken longer on the book but I enjoyed it so much that I finished it in less than 20 days.
Many of us in our Christian walk struggle through everything, including the battles we face. Derek Prince gives very good pointers as to how we fight to the end of the battle when we will be with our Saviour for all eternity. Many times we get mixed up between testing (grows us in our faith) & chastening (bringing us to repent for our sins). Many times we are unsure of many things, yet we know that if we walk close to our Saviour & don the uniform of the soldier. If we do not do this including getting into the Word we stray from our faith.
The battle is so different because of everything that goes on in the unseen realm. A realm where Satan and his co horts battle for our minds with sins. How will you respond?
Get ready to go a step further in your faith. Get further in the Word, respond to testing with joy, and allow and confess everything while under chastisement.

    Rules of Engagement

For a book on spiritual warfare, this book ain't bad. It focuses first on the reader's relationship with Christ. Grace and basic theology is covered. There is an emphasis on being re-created children of God that are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. While there is some talk of angels and demons and even the Genesis 6:4 incident, this book is not a go-to guide for exorcisms. Still, it gives some good detail on the demonic realm. I also like the word studies that are given every so often. Scripture is heavily quoted, too, which is a plus. My one complaint is when the author implies "Jehovah" is the Name of "the LORD." This is untrue. His Name is YHWH. The word Jehovah comes from putting alternate vowel points on YHWH in an order to conceal the true pronunciation of the Name. Plus, in Hebrew, Jehovah curses His real Name in Hebrew. That aside, the book has some good points. Always discern!

Highly Recommended For anyone who seeking engagement in the truth.

In this book many topic are cover in how we must engage in the spiritual role in battle. My favorite is when he ask's which do u choose map or guide. At first most people would say map but after reading u will understand that the guide is the right choice because it is the person who made the map so if u lose the map it does not matter. In this case who he was talking about as the guide was the holy spirit not only would u need this guide. You will need him to lead u and to be interpreter of the book which is no other than the bible since he wrote it. Also in the book he mention how the guide which is the holy spirit gives gifts but the gift do not change the person it the fruits that u receive that does and this is how u can tell if a person using their gift for good or evil if they use them. These are two of my favorite's in the book and there are many more i highly recommend this book it will change your view on how u engage and think on your role on spiritual battle.
