Synopsis:
Otto Stanwood, a boy with a chip on his shoulder and a penchant for living on the edge, has his world turned upside down one Christmas when his grandfather gives him a magic mirror that shows Goody, a version of Otto in an alternate universe who does not make Otto’s same poor decisions. Goody seems to know all the answers to Otto’s problems and knows him better than he knows himself.
In this coming of age story, Otto struggles in pursuing his dream to be an astronaut, helping his troubled best friend, Justin Hatalsky, winning the girl of his dreams, Becca Bradshaw, and eventually being wrongfully imprisoned. Amidst all this, he also faces the tormenting reality of how much better his life could be when he views the other side of the looking glass. But is the other side really all that better?
The formatting is a little off of what a normal screenplay would be; but I think it still reads well.
