Runaway Bride by Ruth Ann Gordon Across the Stars Series Book 2

Runaway Bride by Ruth Ann Gordon
Across the Stars Series Book 2
Mark Tanner had come from Pandoran the same time as Chris West. Only Mark wanted to find his own wife instead of letting the agency find one for him. He decided that Caitlyn’s sister was the one for him, too bad if she was already engaged.

Lexie Rogers was learning how to be the perfect future wife for Dr. Nick Hammond. How to say the right things to the right people. How to look pretty for her future husband and not embarrass him. Meanwhile her mother was planning the wedding and her future life. But what did Lexie want?

Suddenly a Bride is book one in this series. Two men come from a planet where women no longer exist. They truly appreciate not only the women they find as life mates but also the idea of having children, something that had ceased as a normal function on their planet. These guys from another world are quite endearing to all around…..well maybe not the girls mother.
    **Sensual content within marriage

Another great book written by Ruth Nordin. Her Across the Stars

Another great book written by Ruth Nordin. Her Across the Stars series is outstanding. Mark, a Pandoran, (alien) sees Lexie at her sister's wedding and knows she is his life mate. Only one small problem, Lexie is engaged to someone else. Mark makes it his mission to show her that she is making a mistake by marrying someone other than himself. As Lexie's wedding draws closer she tries talking with her mother and fiancé, but neither listen to her. Lexie has always done what everyone asks of her to do, so the bottom question is: does she do what everyone wants or to follow her heart.

At times you are holding your sides from the laughter and other times silent tears fall from the hurt between Mother and daughters. Each character is essential in building the storyline and their weaknesses show us how "human" they are.

A good second book to the series and looking forward to reading the third to see what happens next!

    Funny, entertaining and great

The second of the series focuses on Mark and Lexie... Lexie who we saw in the first book of tge series, basically lets her (and Caitlyns) mom plan and micromanages her life in 99% of Lexies life. But Mark has a different plan for Lexie, to get her to realize that she shouldnt marry Nick "the doctor" just because her mom wants her to but to fall in love with Mark and marry him instead. Lexie struggles throughout the story to finally identify herself without her mom micromanaging and comes to realize things about herself and how to be her own person and falls in love with Mark.
Its a great book/read. I recommend it to anyone. It'll make you laugh, smile, and more. A page turner because you wouldnt want to stop until you see how it ends. :-)

    Great storyline

Loved how the characters from the previous book are included. Would have loved this book better without the sex scenes.
