About the Author

Ann worked as a freelance writer for local newspapers, Christian periodicals and Nursing Journals while working as an RN. She has authored two novels, MOTHER LOVE and RUNAWAY GRANDMA.

MOTHER LOVE received the Reviewer's Choice Award in 2005. RUNAWAY GRANDMA was nominated for Book of the Year in Women's Issues in 2008. Her third novel, IT HAPPENED ON WILLOW LANE will be released in 2011.

Ann enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys gardening and traveling with her husband.

Runaway Grandma is a well written and interesting book about a woman who decides to start her life anew at 70. Olivia is a widowed retired teacher, whose adult children have no interest in her as a person, but only rather for her financial assets. Tired of being ignored, demeaned, and used, Olivia fakes her suicide and takes off for parts unknown. This is a story filled with memorable characters, laughter and tears.
