Overview

Kathleen never put much credence in the set of runes her nursemaid gave her as a child. They’d always been just a game. But when they predict a terrible accident, followed by the loss of her fiancée, she knows there’s something more to the magical stones. Could they really be the answer to help her through her nightmare? And can she use them to find happiness again?
It all makes sense when she meets Dominick, a handsome, dark-haired merchant. But just when happiness is within reach the runes warn of a dark figure from Kathleen’s past. This time the consequences could be a matter of life and death.
Rune Stones is a spellbinding love story that teaches the art of ancient rune casting. Whether it’s to find your soul mate or be nourished and renewed with a different kind of romance, Rune Stones delivers.

A great summer read! And convenient with the NOOK option. The author does a wonderful job at drawing you in to the story and, before you know it, you're in the final chapter. Well-developed characters make this fantasy very believable!

This is a great book of romance and adventure! The characters are so compelling and richly detailed, I couldn't stop reading until I got to the end. I love books set in the 19th century, and the vivid descriptions in the book help to make the time period come alive. The heroine is strong and independent, despite being at the mercy of the conventions of the time. I thoroughly enjoyed this this book, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes historical fiction, romance, and metaphysics.

This was a really good book if you like metaphysical type stuff. You really get a good understanding of how the runes work. The romance is very sweet too. It's much more of what I would call real as opposed to hot and heavy over the top sex scenes. There are some very romantic scenes and some sex, but like I said very sweet. Kathleen, the heroine is very strong and knows how to take care of herself. She and her second love interest are quite equal partners, which probably wouldn't really fit for the time, but is much more along the lines that most women would probably like today.
