Reviews:
I love the suspense that was thrown into the plot and had me guessing the whole way through.

I really loved the mystery to this book it was so much more than a romance novel.  Just when I thought I had it figured out it went in another direction.

Running Back to You is romantic, passionate, funny and dramatic. The struggles of each character is evident and Suzanne Sweeney's character development is great.
~Quiet Crazy Book Whores Book Blog

You will laugh at the funny flirtatious banter between Jett and Evan and you will cry and laugh right along side of them. The author draws such a great image of them you feel like you know them.

Running Back to You is one roller coaster of a ride.  If you’re wanting romance, it’s there; a little humor, it’s there; and hot chemistry, this is the one for you.  Plus, add a little twist and you will be hooked.
~Julie, Stories and Swag!  Book Blog

If I were to compare it to another series, I would say that it had that “Come Away With Me” vibe.  You know, that uber popular book series by Kristin Proby.  I loved it just as much as I loved that whole series.  So if you’ve read that series and loved it, then you’ll love this story too!!

Did you ever read a book that you instantly connect with; that you find so enthralling that you just cant put down? I had the opportunity to beta read Running Back To You by Suzanne Sweeney.  This is the book for fantastic summer reading! Pull up a chair by the pool, a blanket on the beach, a lounge chair on your porch and read. You will laugh at the funny flirtatious banter between Jett and Evan and you will cry and laugh right along side of them. The author draws such a great image of them you feel like you know them. The story taking place in New Jersey so you will hear familiar references to places like Asbury Park, Jenkinson's and Point Pleasant.
Be sure to add it to you To-Read list!!!

**I received a beta copy in exchange for an honest review**

Let me start by saying that I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book. There were so many things I enjoyed about it. The story is about Juliette or Jette as her friends call her, who has just moved back to New Jersey after finishing culinary school. She moves in with her high school bestie, Auggie. One morning while she is running on the beach she literally runs into Evan, who she has seen before around the small coastal town of Point Pleasant. I really liked Jette and Evan and found all of their friends to be very relatable people. Jette had struggled a little with her weight when she was younger and found running as a great way to keep in shape. That little fact helped make her feel more real than many heroines who are just magically perfect. There were a few times I wish she would have just talked to Evan and not jumped to conclusions, but if I had been in her shoes, I think my insecurities would have gotten the best of me. Truthfully, Evan might have been a little too perfect, but what do we want in book boyfriends? Tall, handsome, athletic, kind, smart, funny, house on the beach, thinks the heroine is perfect – check, check, check, etc., etc.! Evan is all that and more. The chemistry between the two was great. I really liked them as individuals and as a couple. And the plot twist, that provides the climax for the story was one I didn’t see coming.

Overall it was fun, romantic, and it had just the right mix of drama and laughter. There are several characters I hope to get to know more about in the next two books in the Running Series.

I received a beta version in exchange of my honest review, so here it is. I loved it! Such a great story, I loved the characters. The story flows well and I was hooked from the beginning and kept trying to anticipate what would happen next and didn't guess right at all. It will make you laugh, cry and make you feel like you are a part of the story. It draws you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I did notice a few typos but not more than any other story I have read recently. Great job Suzanne. Looking forward to reading more from you!

As much as I enjoy reading NA contemporary romances I have recently been disappointed by the quality of the stories, feeling that there are few authors willing to break the mould and test the boundaries of the genre. Unfortunately this is the case with Running Back To You which rigidly follows the formula of the majority of other NA contemporary romances.
In Suzanne Sweeney's first book of this series fit boy meets hot girl, they quickly fall for each other, the sex is good, they have a wonderful group of friends but there is drama.
So, you might ask why I have rated this book with a 3/5 and not less? It is because, despite her naivety, I actually like Juliette and the friends she has are fun and always supportive.
If I could ask Suzanne Sweeney one question though it would be why her characters drink heavily and in the next scene are driving home?
I think the final few chapters of Running Back To you are the most exciting, even though I wanted to scream "Why did no-one think of this before?!". Suzanne Sweeney piles on the suspense and even I admit I was biting my nails waiting for the outcome.
I am now continuing with this series, hoping that Running Home To You has a more gritty plot-line. This is a book suitable for a beach read!
I received this as a complimentary review copy, but this has had no influence on my opinion.

    5+stars for me!!

    I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!

I LOVED this story so much that I purchased the second book before I even finished with this first and that is rare for me. Usually I like to follow a book all the way through to the end, so that I don’t make a rushed decision and buy a book that I don’t want.

I absolutely love Evan and Juliette.. Their love story starts with an unexpected encounter that they both feel and they are immediately drawn to each other. There isn't anything about this book that I didn't like and the story had you hooked right from the beginning and it was hard to put down, because you wanted to know what was going to happen next. I loved watching the love between Evan & Juliette grow and loved watching how they handled the things that happened to them. There are times when you laugh with them, smile with them, and cry with them. You feel like you are right there with them through this entire story and you FEEL what they are feeling, which is so WONDERFUL!! It was nice to see them taking their time to get to know each other, rather than hitting the sheets right off the bat. I thought that the struggles that each of the main characters went through were quite realistic and I can’t wait to see how their relationship continues to grow.

Juliette had he heart broken by David, so she is not looking for a relationship and she just wants to find a job and get her career started.

Evan is an NFL celebrity and doesn’t reveal to Juliette how is really is because of that. He has so many people that want to be near him because of his fame and fortune, so he has to be careful with whom he lets close to him. Since he is automatically drawn to Juliette, he doesn’t want to scare her off with his history, but in the end that ends up biting him in the rear.

The question is whether I would buy this book, and more importantly would I recommend it to fellow readers. To answer to both of these questions is ABSOLUTELY YES, most definitely! If you like reading contemporary romance, then Running Back to You will not disappoint in the least. Like I said previously, I purchased the second book in the series before I was even trough with the first. I automatically started it right after, because I couldn’t wait to see what happens with Evan and Juliette’s relationship.

What a waste of time and money. Painfully immature writing. More time was spent on drink, dessert and scenery descriptions than character and story development. If the trite expressions didn't get old the inability of the author to make her verbs agree with her subjects did. Who really talks to themselves like this character did? Blah!

This book was a slow start for me, it did pick up and start to get interesting at a little over a quarter of the way through. I did enjoy the read, it was a very interesting story. At times I felt it gave a little too much information. The characters our wonderful, each are so different but it works in the book. The book has a lesson nothing is as it seems, always ask questions, never but never take things as they are but look deeper. It is a lesson most of us forget. I like a book that reminds me of things I have forgotten or over looked. I loved the way Jette and Evan met, how they fell in love and the things they did go through.

When reading this book a quote by Sir Walter Scott comes to mind “Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” This is good advice which we all should heed to. It is truly a shame Evan did not heed to it.

I really like Jette at first then I found her to childish, way to much drama but in fairness I believe 80 percent of people would have handle all the BS in their life’s the way she did. She does get stronger and she does stand by her man, but it takes a lot to get her there. I found her ideas in cooking interesting and plan to look into a few ideas she has given me.

Evan is a very strong man, who has to outlive his past. What a past he has, football player who has had too many plays in the bedroom. He wants to start over, get his life together but he must out live his fame and his past. Evan is a very protective of Jette and tries hard to hide things she should know that will hate her. I find most people who are in love would do this. Is it right? No and gets him in tons of trouble.

I just loved Auggie, there is nothing better for a women than having a gay best friend. He is so supporting and so fun loving you have to love him. Adam he is a sweetheart and helps Evan in all things in life. At first I didn’t care for him, he was way over protective of Evan but he comes around to be a wonderful character. There are so many wonderful characters in this book, so many give support, they are fun loving and have a blast.

There are a lot of music which I enjoyed, so many great songs of today and the past. I found when I wasn't reading the book I was singing the songs in my head. Every Breath You Take-The Police is a wonderful song, I have always loved it. I don’t think I will ever think of it the same again. Jette stalker had that song played for her in the bar, and a short time later she found the note on her car. “Dear Julietter, DID YOU LIKE MY SONG? I MEANT EVERY WORD” I felt everything she felt, when the car started following Jette and I were one. I felt like I was right there with her, my heart started racing, I could feel her excitement and her fear. When I found out who the stalker was I was floored, I never saw that coming.

This book moved to fast in a short period of time, it all happens within a month. I find it hard to believe in that short period of time anyone is going to put up money for a business. You buy her a business but never ask her to marry you? It just doesn’t feel right. I did enjoy the story but Jette just had to much drama for me, she never thought things through, jumping in and flying by the seat of her pants. It was mostly about me, me, me. I will have to say by the end of the book she did get her act together and did stand by her man.
