Overview

Note: This short story is a science fiction suspense thriller of approximately 14,000 words (40+ average pages) and is not a full-length novel.

Summary: In the future, the Omega Pill solves everyone's health problems. It makes people disease-free and thin, but it also leaves them physically weak and lazy. Intensive exercise is now viewed as the primary risk factor for accidents and injuries, and is all but outlawed by the increasingly powerful healthcare giants. Most of society accepts the way things have become, but not the man known only as Runner. He leads an underground group of athletes who train secretly at night as they prepare for an upcoming race against a rival club--a race that Runner is determined to win at any cost.
