    I Also Recommend:

This is a textbook. It reads like a readable technical manual.

This book is very comprehensive for running. It should be a resource and read by anyone directing running programs or who is paid for running services. It contains exercise physiology and weight training, an understanding of which is necessary for healthy recreational and competitive runners.
