Carrie Roberts has just run away from her abusive husband. She
has figured out how she can finally get away and slip into a new,
anonymous life. Deciding to become a full time RVer to evade the
man who will surely stop at nothing to find her, she takes off in her
new motorhome. As she travels the country familiarizing herself
with her new home, the campgrounds she visits become her world.
During Carrie’s travels she meets Daniel and Angelina, a father
and his five-year old daughter. Carrie is stunned when days
later she discovers Angelina’s picture on a Missing Children’s
Network bulletin board at a local Wal-Mart. Her curiosity gets
the best of her and even as she enlists the help of a rugged, virile
federal agent, she is drawn to discover Daniel’s secret. It’s a chase
across the country as an angry federal agent named Brick Tyler
rues the day he met the petite stunner named Carrie Roberts.
The whimsical, day-to-day life of a full time RVer is highlighted as
Carrie makes her way west trying to stay one step ahead of the
exasperated and highly capable Brick Tyler, who is determined
to catch up to her and throw her in jail for her double-crossing

Meet the Author

Jacqueline DeGroot has published six novels, a book of short stories and co-authored a local history book. The novels are romances set along the southeast coastline of North Carolina that she calls home. Sexy, witty, and emotionally relevant, the novels bring vibrant characters to life in a coastal community so real you can hear the surf and smell the salt in the air.

To date she has published:

“The Secret of the Kindred Spirit”
“What Dreams Are Made Of”
“Barefoot Beaches”
“For the Love of Amanda”
“Shipwrecked at Sunset”
“Worth Any Price”
and contributed to:

“Tales of the Silver Coast, A Secret History of Brunswick County”
by Miller Pope.

“Shipwrecked at Sunset,” combines forensics, Southern history, and forbidden love. A handsome pathologist and a beautiful Coastal Area Management inspector team up to unravel a mystery that starts with her discovery of a Civil War corpse in the aftermath of a hurricane.

“Worth Any Price” is set in Wilmington and tells the story of a serial killer who ransoms his victims in a most unusual manner. Three single women, devoted to their children, with nowhere to turn when they discover that their child is missing rely on three strangers. The men, either in the right place or the wrong place, are alerted to their plight and come to their rescue. By doing so, their lives are altered forever. “Worth Any Price” is a romance unlike any other.

Jack lives in Sunset Beach with her husband, Bill. Daughter Kimberly attends UNCW, and two grown sons live in Shallotte, and New York. Formerly an overachieving car salesperson in Vienna, VA—she ranked #6 in the country in Pontiac sales—Jack now lives a less stressful life in a small beach community. She rides bikes, cooks elaborate dinners, decorates lavish cakes, and takes long walks along the beach.

Peggy Grich has been an avid RVer for the past five years, loves the RV lifestyle, and camps every chance she gets. She and her husband, Jim, are the former inkeepers and owners of Goose Creek Bed and Breakfast in Ocean Isle, North Carolina.

Prior to living in North Carolina, they built, owned, and operated a television station, TV8, in Glens Falls, New York.

Peggy has edited books for several authors
