Regarding: piercing - If you have ever asked yourself "I wonder how.." This is the book for you. Being the "father of the modern piercing industry" Jim Ward is well qualified to write this story and he does so in a writing style that kept me riveted. Think about it for a moment. Putting a magazine together before personal computers and Photoshop? Body piercing before the proper tools existed? Having to design the body jewelry and tools AND make them yourself? Starting a first of its kind business? Wow! Jim and his friends evolved "backroom piercing" into the craft it remains today and he takes us with him through the process. The photos are plentiful, beautiful (and explicit). Tiny gems of history weave through the background of the story. This book is not just for piercing enthusiasts. I only have the usual holes in the ears. For anyone who lived, loved, lost and survived the last 40 or so years, this is a book for you.
