Meet the Author

Nobuhiro Watsuki earned international accolades for his first major manga series, Rurouni Kenshin, about a wandering swordsman in Meiji Era Japan. Serialized in Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1994 to 1999, Rurouni Kenshin quickly became a worldwide sensation, inspiring a spin-off short story ("Yahiko no Sakabato"), an animated TV series, and several animated movies. Watsuki's latest series, Buso Renkin, also available in English from VIZ Media, began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump in June 2003.

I first read this manga two years ago, and to this day, after reading literally hundreds of manga, it is still my FAVORITE manga EVER!! It is MORE than worth reading! d^^b The story just gets better and BETTER the more you read!! Pretty soon you'll be wishing there was a real Kenshin as awesome as the manga version!! XDDD And when people ask you which is better: ninja or pirates, you'll be screaming out: SAMURAI!!!! (that's how addicted I am anyway... XD)

RUROUNI KENSHIN is deffinitely my favorite manga series!!! I just started this series and I'm continuing to love it more and more with each page I read. I believe Nobuhiro Watsuki has a masterpiece here that can be loved through out the world by many different people. Rurouni Kenshin is pretty much about everything you can think of. It has romance, action, humor, and the list goes on. I will forever love these works of art!

I love Rurouni Kenshin. It is GREAT! It has action, humor and a little bit of romance. SJ went a little overboard with the T+ rating, though.... I'd say it is safe for anyone over the age of 12. It is a little violent though.

I only had to read the first few pages to know that I LOVED Rurouni Kenshin, my favorite characters have to be Himura and Kaoru o' course. The story line was again really clear, and the drawing is EXCELLENT.

As Kenshin was relaxing at the dojo when Tae walks in with a little boy. He lost a book that is important to him. He lost it wile helping the workers at the beef pot store so they feel a little guilty about having his book lost. But if he doesn¿t find it within three days he will not be able to come home! The book is translated in English means Voyage to the Moon. In they are looking for it they find out the reason why they want it. There are assassins sword men and others standing in there way. The second part to the book Rurouni Kenshin by Kaoru Shizuka Sonosuke is faced with many choices. After meeting a former ally. He ether step away from a person that has lived through the same thing he has. Losing everything and the closest thing to a dad they had. Or to go along with him and blow up every thing the government has. If he chooses to go with his friend Kenshin will do everything in his power to stop him.

If you are looking for a great book, this would be it. It's funny, deep, and is full of action!! Great for those with short attention spans! I, regardless of the other reviewer, am the biggest RK fan. I have books 1-21 (still growing.) and watch the anime! (love it!) He still has rights to second biggest fan though!

As you can see I am a very crazed fan of the line. It is one of the first anime's I got into and the second manga I started to collect. If you like action and humor with a small splash of romance then this manga is for you. It is the best ever thought up.

I have to say that Rurouni Kenmshin is my favorite manga out of all the ones I have or read. As the stars say, outstanding. If you like smaurai and such/like manga then I recommend you read Rurouni Kenshin, you will enjoy it alot if you do. Its awesome and thats about all I can say. So, go to a bookstore closest to you, buy the first volume and read it.

Yo! Nobuhiro Watsuki! Thank you for making this great series. I'm probably the most RK maniac in the whole review section. I watched every anime and manga. (dude, haven't you guys ever downloaded before) but I have to admit. I don't have every manga so far. Only the first one

The first time I saw the anime, I was already hooked! I bought the manga as soon as it came out, and I have every volume so far. Kenshin is the coolest swordsmen ever! (He's quite good looking as well...) Anyway, the plot is intense and never boring. This is by far the best manga EVER!!

first off, i'd like to say that this has been my favorite anime/manga series eversince i've been interested in the actual genre, now, i'm only 14, but when this manga came out just around my birthday, I realized i had to get it. It's just so action packed and hilarious. The characters suck you into the story and make it real. Though i have to complain for teh lack of color, everything else that Wa-san does with the plot is perfect

Watsuki did well. Humor, violence, drama, great artwork... the essential ingridiants (sorry, I can't spell :( ) for a hit manga are all in here. All samurai fans should love it, and everyone else, too. The story at the end is one of Watsuki's first works, and is really good. The manga, in my opinion, is ten times better than the anime on Cartoon Network. All Kenshin anime fans should buy this.
