Overview

Julie Brannagh's sparkling and romantic Love and Football series continues!

For Amy Hamilton, only three Fs matter: Family, Football, and Flowers. It might be nice to find someone to share Forever with, too, but right now she's working double overtime while she gets her flower shop off the ground. The last thing she needs or wants is a distraction … or help, for that matter. Especially in the form of gorgeous and aggravatingly arrogant ex-NFL star Matt Stephens.

Matt lives by a playbook—his playbook. He never thought his toughest opponent would come in the form of a stunning florist with a stubborn streak to match his own. Since meeting her in the bar after her sister's wedding, he's known there's something between them. After she refuses—again and again—to go out with him, Matt will do anything to win her heart … But will Amy, who has everything to lose, let the clock run out on the one-yard line?

Julie Brannagh has been writing since she was old enough to hold a pencil. She lives in a small town near Seattle, where she once served as a city council member and owned a yarn shop. She shares her home with a wonderful husband, two uncivilized Maine Coons, and a rambunctious chocolate Lab. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, or armchair-quarterbacking her favorite NFL team from the comfort of the family room couch. Julie is a Golden Heart® finalist and the author of contemporary sports romances.

Well written story... Interesting, Fun, Funny, Realistic, Cute and a lot of other great things... Loved reading it and as Book Two of the new Love and Football Series it was a super continuation following the first book "Blitzing Emily"... For readers who are not into football do not be scared off... Football has nothing whatsoever to do with the great love story contained in these pages... You will laugh, cry and wonder about these people who might be your neighbors... Didn't want to put either of these books down and have already ordered Book Three... PLEASE read Book One First though because you will enjoy both books a lot more if you read them in sequence.

Amy, owner of a flower shop, has no time for romance, let alone the football buddy of her brother-in-law, Matt, a Seattle Shark football player. Add in Matt's teenage daughter, his ex-wife (a surprisingly NICE person-well done, Julie!), and it's an entertaining, laugh-out-loud read. Amy is struggling with the problems of being a small-business owner, and Matt, who is blindsided by her, at his buddy's wedding, wants to help, or at least be around her, as much as he can. All's well in Love and Football, book #2, I very much enjoyed reading this. I also read #3, and can't wait for the 4th book (and however many more Julie Brannagh wants to write.)

I don't usually read romance books but decided to take a chance on this one. I loved that the lead characters were both independent and strong yet flawed in their own ways. Very relatable with a feeling these could actually be real people. I actually had a hard time putting it down!

This is my second book in this series and second by this author. I was disappointed. I enjoyed the first book in the series, although i thought it had a hokey ending. I didnt enjoy this book nearly as much. The lead characters werent as likable, bordering on annoying. Goofy storyline. Not much chemistry. A bit contrived. Not sure whether I will get book three when it comes out.
