    Helpful Leadership Hints!

Russell Rules is about the career of the famous basketball player Bill Russell. It was written to tell his story and to provide helpful hints on how to be a leader and succeed in life. He lets the reader know what kind of attitude and behavior are appropriate for a leader. Each chapter is a lesson on a certain characteristic of a leader. It really makes a person analyze themselves and their behaviors and see what they need to change or improve on in order to be a leader. I enjoyed the book and looking back at Bill Russell¿s successful basketball career. I found the book very helpful with the advice that was given about each characteristic. My favorite chapter was about listening. It helped me to realize that I needed to improve my listening skills. It also made me realize that hearing and listening are two different things. I also liked the lesson about commitment. It says that commitment begins with curiosity. If you commit to something you should stay with it. Never give up on what you start. It was said that you should always ask questions because there is no such thing as a silly question. Pursue the question until you receive a meaningful answer.
