Children's Literature - Meredith Kiger
Russia and A Ticket to Russia, are basically the same, with A Ticket to Russia, written for a younger child, and Russia written with more detail for older kids. Tit is the first in an upcoming series of sixteen "Globetrotter Club" books designed to introduce a foreign country to primary aged children. This book is entertaining, informative, well designed and well researched. Colored photos and drawings accompany the text. Topics covered include geography, history, family life, school days, language and foods. A glossary of Russian terms, a pronunciation guide and a bibliography for further reading complete the book.
