Meet the Author

Becca Dale writes erotic romance with what many readers consider sweet-heat. She jokingly told her first editor she was naughty enough, but fans have encouraged her to continue that philosophy. So while her work carries an erotic heat level, the emotional impact is equally high. It remains Becca’s goal to test and explore reader' fantasies through characters that could be the girl next door or the woman in the mirror, or even the wolf shifter held captive at the puppy mill down the road.

Ryan’s Treasure is the second book in The Sanctuary series by Becca Dale. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I chose this book because I love reading shifter novels.

Nadi was born in a puppy mill and has lived there her whole life. She knows no other life, but when she gets a chance at freedom she takes it and runs. Nadi gets her name from her protector the one man that saves her, Ryan. Nadi is a strong and resilient woman, because she has managed to survive for as long as she has.

Ryan Jones spends much of his time helping abused woman, but one gets his attention. A small half starved female wolf. He is a strong and sexy man. He steps aside from becoming Alpha so his brother can be alpha he can marry the woman he wants.

The chemistry between Ryan and Nadi is blistering hot. The sex scenes were scorching hot. I wanted to smack Kya, Ryan’s sister, after Ryan and Nadi have sex the first time. I can understand why she was upset but Nadi has no clue what happened or what it meant to the shifter world. It was almost like they all forgot she was not raised in a shifter community.

I would have liked the story longer and more flushed out, especially the beginning. I also found it hard to believe that Nadi who has been abused for as long as she was would suddenly be okay with mating the first man sees. I found the story very well written. The main characters and the secondary characters were realistic. Overall, this was a fabulous story. While I have not read the first book in the series, I will be picking it up shortly. I can’t wait to read.

Wow! Just finished and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ry

Wow! Just finished and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ryan’s Treasure really packs a punch. At just under a hundred pages, I was thinking this will just be a wham-bam blur type type book. What I actually encountered was a fantastic PNR. Author Becca Dale has created a well-written book rich with details and excellent characters. The relationship that builds between Nadi and Ryan is sweet with the flow feeling quite natural. The secondary characters felt like they are added bonuses instead of fillers. There are some actual twist in the story that I found refreshingly new to me. I especially love what happens after they have sex for the first time. Now frankly I did not see that coming!

I just found out this was the second book in the series. Not knowing that I still found this title worked very well as a stand-alone. However, I enjoyed this book so much I plan on going back to the beginning and starting this series fresh. I’m not sure if there will be more in the series but from what I have read so far, this is a series worth following.

I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.
