Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
Yosef sets out on an arduous and dangerous journey to obtain his family's inheritance in Egypt. He joins up with a caravan leader who doesn't keep his word and Yosef, who stops to observe the Sabbath, is left stranded in the desert. A lion appears and becomes his protector and allows Yosef to mount him and catch up with the caravan. All ends well as Yosef collects the inheritance for his mother and safely returns to Algiers where he faithfully celebrates the Sabbath and recounts his tale.
