However, it is also useful for any physicians and students who are interested in the diseases of the chest. The authors of the chapters are internationally recognized leaders in their fields.
Features: This update covers the rapidly evolving new areas in the specialty, such as the treatment of atrial fibrillation and stent grafting for thoracoabdominal aortic disease, which are excellent. Illustrations in the book and the online video are superior in quality and are appropriate in quantity. The Expert Consult functionality is a very useful tool, allowing readers to easily access the text in its entirety online from virtually anywhere using an Internet connection.
Assessment: This is simply the most comprehensive textbook in the specialty. It reviews all the important topics in an organized fashion and in great depth. The rapidly evolving nature of the specialty demands the replacement of the previous edition with this new updated edition.
