Listening to this CD is a magnificant worship experience. The purity of their voices and the sincerity of their renderings will truly touch your heart. As the previous reviewer said, this is not background music. These songs will grab your attention and bring you into the presence of God.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Sacred: A Spiritual Journey just released by the Irish Tenors is not an easy-listening, background musical presentation. The cd begins with a extremely dramatic version of "Deus Meus." The soaring finale will lift the heart in grand preparation for the beautiful selections that follow. The cd has two solos performed by each of the men: Wright sings "Morning Has Broken" and "There Is No Cross Love Cannot Bear" Kearns sings "If I Can Help Somebody" and "To Do Thy Will" McDermott sings "Shelter Me" and "How Deep the Father's Love". The solos give a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the different styles of music and vocal approaches. But the trio presentations are definitely the best of this cd. These generous and personable performers mesh gorgeously while singing either in unison or harmony. "Be Thou My Vision" and "Lord of the Dance" remind the listeners why Celtic music is so memorable and appealing. But the gems of the album (with Deus Meus) are "Amazing Grace" and "My Forever Friend." "I'll Walk with God" is a fitting tribute to the sincerity and honesty of these fine men who are also gifted performers. The note on the insert states that the Irish Tenors want to bring the listeners into the presence of the Almighty. All believers will agree they have accomplished their mission. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
