About the Author

Ronen Divon had been on the spiritual path for several decades. Practicing Tai Chi in New York in the 90s, then Taoism, he later found himself part of a Hindu Ashram studying Yoga, meditation, and the path of devotion. From there, his journey led him to South America to work with plant medicine, mediumship, and traditions such as Umbandaime and Santo Daime. Along the way, he practiced Buddhism, Zen, and Jewish, Christian, and Sufi mysticism. He later founded Sanctuary of the Divine Heart, a non-denominational church where people of various belief systems can share their passion and devotion while focussing on spiritual and inner growth. Aside from his work at the Sanctuary, Ronen owns and operates Open Heart Energy, a wellness center offering Reiki, sound healing, and various forms of energy-work. Currently residing in Cary, North Carolina, he spends his time serving his Reiki clientele, writing, enjoying the local flora, and occasionally, when the stars align, heading south to scuba dive.

Preface

Sacred Light Prayers of the Divine Heart is a collection of interfaith prayers that I wrote over many years, intending to capture the full range of felt experience, offering the reader opportunities for self-reflection and spiritual growth. They were inspired by the spiritual work that I do, with their aim being to awaken and encourage us to walk the path of transformation, and to discover anew the reason we came back to this world. It is a selection from a larger body of work which has been read in our events and ceremonies, as well as to my Reiki and energy-work clients. The prayers draw from many traditions and religions as it is my belief that there is no single path to connecting with The Divine. On the esoteric and mystical levels, most spiritual paths have the same messages of love, light, and connection. I favor a Chinese proverb that states "There are many paths to the top of the mountain, but the view is always the same." Sacred Light Prayers of the Divine Heart, while mentioning names of various deities and religious figures, is not tied to one particular spiritual or religious path. It is intended for all aspirants, wherever they are in their journey.

At the end of this book, we included a glossary of some of the deities and religious figures mentioned in the prayers. It is not intended to provide thorough or precise descriptions of each, as different traditions may have different interpretations, but rather a brief summary of what each figure symbolizes.I believe that each entity is a Divine vibration, a specific aspect of the Source, God, Creation, and that each tradition gives it a different name and celebrates it in its own special way.

It is my wish and hope that readers will turn to this book to find inspiration and consolation, both when feeling content and in times of need. The index includes themes by which prayers can be searched, but I also suggest opening the book at random to see which prayer presents itself to you. It may be one you need most at the time.
