Sacred Rhythms: The Monastic Way Every Dayby Br. Francis de Salesi Wagner O.S.B. (Editor), Fr. Michael Casey O.C.S.O., Kathleen Norris, Sr. Joan Chittister O.S.B., Fr. Dwight Longenecker

Every Day is a compilation of reflections originally published in our Notes from a Monastery series. Gathered here under the themes of prayer, work, faithfulness, and conversion, these meditations showcase the knowledge of religious and lay authors familiar with the Benedictine way of life.
Authors include Fr. Michael Casey, O.C.S.O, Kathleen Norris, Sr. Joan Chittister, O.S.B., Fr. Dwight Longenecker, Sr. Laura Swan, O.S.B., and Fr. Joel Rippinger, O.S.B., among many others. Together, they demonstrate that the Benedictine way of life has modern relevance in a world starved for the sacred rhythms that connect the dots in everyday life.

Excellent, prayerful anthology of practical monastic wisdom by some very well-known authors. I love this book!
This delightful little book is a collection of "Notes from a Monastery" published by Abbey Press (under their Path of Life imprint). Br. Francis de Sales, the editor, has brought together some of the most significant voices in Benedictine spirituality as well as some new voices representing monks, nuns, and oblates. This book has been a great resource for my own private prayer and reflection. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to cultivate the spirit of St. Benedict in their own life. I found the essays by Sr. Joan Chittester, "Searching for Balance," and the introduction by Archabbot Justin DuVall (from St. Meinrad Archabbey) to really capture St. Benedict's values of simplicity, dedication, and commitment.
