Overview

Sacred Space: The Prayer Book 2012 is the annual prayer book based on the successful prayer website sacredspace.ie, inaugurated by the Irish Jesuits. The site logs nearly six million visitors per year, and is translated into twenty languages with people praying at the site at the rate of one person every twenty seconds.

Successfully published as a year-long prayer aid for eight years running, Sacred Space: The Prayer Book 2012 continues to draw an increasing number of readers, for whom it serves as a complement to the hugely popular website. Using the simple six-step method first developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, this new edition provides daily readings and prayer starters. It is ideal for people on the go who want to grab a few moments to read, reflect, and pray in the midst of their busy days. Regular visitors to the website will appreciate this book as a way to fill in for those times when the website is out of reach, and as a gift to introduce their friends to this wonderful prayer method.

    A great guide for meditation

I've used the annual copy of Sacred Space as a guide for the readings at Daily Mass. It follow the great Ignatian tradition of five steps of
meditation. I look forward to using it to encourage to others to spend time in prayer.
