Terrific effort from Germany; arguably the best symphonic metal CD I've heard from that country. New vocalist Diane van Giersbergen (no relation to legendary siren Anneke) is AWESOME, often reminding me of Tarja Turunen. Saw them in Dallas a few weeks ago, and although they only had 30 minutes they absolutely rocked the place, kicking off the concert in fine style! The music is both intelligent and powerful, stirring the mind and the heart.
