Overview

Originally published in the anthology THE ONLY ONE with stories by Christine Feehan and Susan Grant, SACRILEGE is once again available for fans who have been asking about it. A novella of 33,000 words, SACRILEGE is part of The Companion Vampire series. Magda Ravel has spent two hundred years locked away in Mirso Monastery, striving to master her addiction to drinking the last drop of blood when she feeds. Under the tutelage of Pietr Vladamiroff, she has suppressed all emotions along with her craving. Both are denying the soul-deep bond that has grown up between them. Pietr sends Magda out into modern day San Francisco to prove to her that she has changed. When the Eldest discovers Pietr's love, he sends his most powerful and terrifying warrior to hunt and kill Magda. Now Pietr must abandon his own vows, and find Magda in order to protect her. Only he can stand between Magda and true death, as they fight for a love their kind considers SACRILEGE.

Meet the Author

Since beginning her career in 2000 with a Golden Heart from Romance Writers of America for Danegeld, which became her first sale, Susan has published sixteen novels and three novellas. She has been a finalist in the Rita contest for Best Romance Novel, won the Holt Medallion, the BookBuyersBest Contest and many Reviewer’s Choice awards. Publisher’s Weekly named Body Electric one of the most influential mass market books of 2003 and One with the Shadows a Best book of 2007. Time for Eternity, received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly. Her work has appeared on both the New York Times and USA Today Best Sellers lists. Whatever her subject, historical period, or theme, her work always contains some element of the paranormal.

Susan no longer works as an executive at a Fortune 500 company but lives at the beach in Southern California with her husband, Harry, a writer of supernatural thrillers. She does agility and obedience work with her three Belgian Sheepdogs. The training techniques she learned for her dogs don’t seem to work on Harry, though, which is probably just as well.
