Meet the Author

Hello, I'm Angie. Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, lets you and I take a little stroll. There's a story I need to let out of its cage and I think it's one you need to hear. It's about the end of the world as we know it...Probably not. He was what I grew up reading and I've never stopped."

This series keeps getting better and better!!

"Safe Haven" is the 3rd book in the Life After War series. I have really enjoyed each and every book, but I do have to say this book is my favorite! As the various survivors reach Safe Haven they slowly but surely start to settle in and find their place in among the group and start to gain acceptance. Being fully accepted isn't always easy and it takes some time. Adrian, the leader or Guardian of Safe Haven, truly does an excellent job running Safe Haven and is very fair to his people. They have some pretty strict, but necessary rules of conduct. One in particular I like, is the 3rd on the list, "Sexual Assault is a capital offense! Punishable by death, or branding and banishment-Jury vote/Guardian can override" seems pretty reasonable to me. Even after reaching Safe Haven, they still face many challenges, life is not easy. However they aren't facing those challenges alone anymore, and that makes a huge difference. There is a real sense of community in Safe Haven, everybody is working together toward a common goal and trying to survive along the way! I also enjoy that all of the women characters are not portrayed as timid, helpless females. They are very strong, gutsy women! If I ever find myself in a post-apocalyptic world, and if Safe Haven existed there, that is where I would want to be! If you are looking for a series that is full of action, a real page turner and where you really connect to the various characters, then look no further, this series is it! I can't wait for 4th book in this series to be released!

The third book is even better than the first two! Romance, danger, evil vs good. An epic tale. Would probably make a good miniseries as long as the writer doesn't add zombies in.

This is a review for the whole series but I am going to post it

This is a review for the whole series but I am going to post it here. I have been a huge fan of fantasy, science fiction, and dark novels for my whole life and this series is by far the best series i have came across. I have read probably 100's of books now and have yet to come across a book as interesting and action packed as this series!

Not only is this filled with fantasy and suspense but it give you a true feeling of "Is there life after an apocalypse and will we be able to survive?" Books and series that make you ask questions while you are reading is my favorite. This book continues to make me ask questions about where are they off to next and will they SURVIVE? The way the characters go on rebuilding the country is astonishing and takes a great author to be so descriptive and imaginative.

New America is not only a country in the book but I could see all of this unfolding in real life. With the calamity and craziness happening in the world today this book could easily turn into a prophecy or maybe a guideline of how to rebuild the country after apocalypse.

I give this book 2 thumbs way up and i am looking very forward to reading more from the amazing author! I am so glad that i took the time to read this series and recommend it to any sci-fi or fantasy junky out there!

Awesome book - a must read!

What an awesome book. I have recommended this book to all my nook friends. This is the 3rd in a series the first one is The Survivors, then On the Road, Next is Safe Haven, and then Adrian's Angels. I am getting ready to purchase Adrian's Angels as I am definitely hooked on the series! I will be waiting for Barnes and Noble to get the last one From the Ashes as I haven't seen that one on their list yet. Love this author!

I've read the first three books back to back. Good story line. Needs a better proofreading to fix some grammar. Other than that it's a good series. I will continue reading.

    Great

I just love this series! I can't even begin to imagine how much hard work goes into writting a book, but with that said since this series has been floating around in your head for two decades maybe you can produce two books a year so I'm not dying of old age before it's done. PLEASE. And another favor can Angela stop messing with Marc's head and just get with Brady for good. She is starting to come across weak and ungrateful for everything he has done for her. Alittle selfish. Thanks for the story!

Better then the survivors, but still nothing to recommend

Hate the way women and latinos, hispanics, mexicans are portrayed. People are not owned by each other anymore. No real ending. I was given thispart of the series by a friend. He said it was better then The Survivors. It was but not by much. Still did not care for it.

    Stinks.

I bought the whole set and it was a rip off. Not much of a story, weak characterization, lousy grammar and page long paragraphs.

    Very good series

I love this series of books. Great story of after a world war, and the survivors. Two groups of people, the good and the bad, terrible acts of violence against Americans, has one group running until they are ready to fight. Mutations and horrible storms keep you turning the pages to see what happens. You have your heroin who has powers we all wish we had. She struggles to end one abusive relationship, while leading the love of her life to hold on until she is ready. Very interesting story of good against evil.

    "After" series at its best.

Angela has more twists and subplots that makes even a seasoned reader of this genera think to himself, "dang, never thought of that"! The interaction of the characters is very real, moods and all.

    Highly recommend

This series of books are the best I have ever read. I thought Steven King's "The Stand" was great, but I honestly think this series has it beaten hands down. Will read them all.
