Brandon Burley is a Marine Corps combat veteran, retired law enforcement officer, and criminal justice educator with over two decades of public service. He holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, and more than 60 certifications in law enforcement disciplines including homicide investigations, drug enforcement, and tactical training.

As a former Detective who worked the violent crimes task force, Brandon brings firsthand experience with high-stakes investigations, complex systems, and ethical dilemmas within the justice system. He now teaches criminal justice to middle school and high school students and serves as a speaker and author dedicated to the intersection of public policy, ethics, and technology.

Brandon is also the founder of Burley Books, a platform dedicated to practical, evidence-based insights in criminal justice, public safety, and social impact. His works span fiction and nonfiction, all built on a foundation of truth, empathy, and systems thinking.

He lives in East Tennessee with his wife and two children.
