Rest your hands. Come along with the author and take a stand. More than one hundred and forty color representations of feelings in form. Reading through the storm with art to stir and to steady the soul

poems as windows to a soul, unrestrained by a social role
i begin life sitting behind the curtain, i now write to stand front and certain

My stories inside are objects of pride. With seasoned reason and some rhyme, a lifetime of topics reside. There are starts and stops with personality parts and many soft darts. This book is a parade of poems and an array of ideas. The poems are a gallery of personal impressions. They present a life's line on exhibit, a glimpse inside a hidden mind and healing heart. I grew in self-knowledge and expression while working on these poems. There is a parallel growth in the expressive nature of the poems as each chapter evolves. The chapters unfold as my life has drawn on. Each chapter runs concurrently in time and takes a broad hold around the poems they cradle.

The poems are reflections and impressions of interpersonal interactions during my growth and development. Framing a life's norms presented in chapter form. Born in silence and wandering in darkness, growth in prayer and renewed in friendship. To be in wonder of the wander, and the faith born in passing, the end of the walk can be in love. Each verse serves as reflection and recognition while I have gone my way.

About the Author

Steve is a writer and poet. One of six brothers and sisters, Steve, has worked in many roles and performed numerous duties during his formative years. He has worked as a stock boy, a construction laborer, a corporate temp, a door-to-door salesman, a rideshare driver, a family chauffeur, and a fabricator who has cut a steel beam or two. Steve has been identified as an accountant, a bookkeeper, and a data boy on call. He painted some halls and pulled colored wires through the walls while waiting for calls.

From carrying buckets of stone on a foundation up high to planning trips to our zoos as time rolled by. There have been times at the beach when Steve’s out of reach. There were days on land, favoring a reason to stand. Moments in the air at the top of the sky, peace on earth finally reached.

Steve is a grandfather and a respected baby whisperer within his family.
