Overview

Bean promised it would be fun and distracting-an introduction to Nature that would bring clarity to Justin's chaotic life. Fine, Justin thought, anything to escape my crumbling marriage and overwhelming workload for a while.

Then an accident on the trail leaves Bean immobilized.

Bean is the outdoorsman-Justin knows nothing of the wilderness or how to survive in it. Stranded alone, Justin must figure out how to save his badly injured friend and perhaps even himself.

Saint Lucy of the Cowboys is a harrowing tale of endurance and friendship that draws from Nature's lesions and highlights the the surprising truth that sometimes when we're most alone, we are most connected to those who have gone before us.

Deftly weaving together Justin and Bean's current drama with a dangerous 1802 journey through the same wilderness-both guided by the mystical apparition of Saint Lucy-the story of these tow friends become the universal story of humans and Nature.

Interesting storyline with complex characters that kept you involved and wanting to know what would happen next. Loved how all the characters stories were engaging and all entertwined in the end. Some surprises at the end as well as some predictable moments.
