The book is laden with typos and errors. It even frustrated me by asking chapter review questions that hadn't been covered in the chapter. I am new to Linux and tried for 15 minutes to install the sample test CD-ROM that comes with the book on my new Linux box. I finally figured out that the sample test only runs on Windows. That seems a little odd for a Linux book. It made me wonder what the heck I'm giving up my MCSE for. Then, I decided to take the online sample test from linuxcertification.com and realized how ill prepared I am for my first exam after reading this book. The exam cram book got good reviews so I will try that one next.
the book is a good overview of the material necessary to prepare for the sair exams ... but isn't there something inherently wrong having a LINUX reference book with a WINDOWS cdrom as its study guide??? this mistake detracts from the underlying goal of the book.
