Meet the Author

Nick Kyme hails from Grimsby, on the east coast of England. He moved to Nottingham in 2003 to work on White Dwarf magazine, and later made the switch to the Black Library to work there as an editor. His writing credits include short stories, background books, and several novels set in the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000.

    A Great Start To A New Series!

    Nick really brings the Salamanders Chapter to life! This book starts a series, and does so with style and substance! I am really looking forward to what comes next. Character is central to the story, as almost everyone involved grows and changes in measurable, and often striking ways. The scope of the story is epic, without giving away specifics, more-so than in many 40k novels. If you're a fan of the glory days of the 31st Millenium, then this tale will give you a lot from then, as well as the 41st. This book is entirely complete, while leaving natural room for the impending sequel. This is a must read for any fan of the Astartes especially, but 40k in general too! Oh, and this book is long, and worth every bit of the 400+ pages! (Try and read the associated Salamanders short story found in Heroes Of the Space Marines too!)
