The Author while working in the new home building industry for many years had paid his own way through many institutions of higher learning as follows; Salt Lake Community College, Utah Valley University, University of Utah, and Brigham Young University. The Author graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Business from B.Y.U.

The Author likes to judge many different A.K.C. field trial events for the Pointing Dog Breeds. The Author likes to ride his Tennessee Walker Horse while running his pointing bird dogs on upland game birds. The author also likes to go waterfowl hunting with a well trained Labrador Retriever.
