Dont Know How to Read Music? Doesn't Matter

I can't read music! I'll admit it. But I have an ear, actually two this is all you need. I am now performing three different samples (pgs 41,59,60)it's incredible! My wife now sees me and congratulates me on a job well done. It is an excellent pleasure investment 'buy it today'!

    Excellent Salsa for Starters!!!

Campos has unraveled the mystery and much of the difficulty of playing in the salsa style. His book introduces the rhythms of the 2-3 clave and the 3-2 clave, and shows how the piano riffs fit into these basic rhythms. Every example is completely notated and chord symbols appear above. The examples on the CD are very high quality, and the accompaniment percussion tracks are great to jam along with. The book is very methodological; each example must be mastered before progressing to the next. There is a new set of exercises for each chord progression. Most of the examples are in the key of C major and C minor, to get the feel, so you have to transpose them on your own to get through other keys. The last lessons are standard progressions which combine all the different techniques in the book. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing through it. I am a piano teacher myself, and I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning to play salsa piano.
