About the Author

As a sustainability expert, Desiree Izecksohn focuses on inspiring people to work for the environmental cause by creating platforms and educational material that give young people the right tools, creating a positive snowball effect.​Desiree founded the Penn Sustainability Consulting (PSC) club in 2020 while she was an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania. PSC is an avenue for students to gain real world experience while helping nonprofit and for-profit organizations achieve their sustainability goals. Her second project is a graphic novel about environmental issues for kids, empowering them to fight climate anxiety and take action to save the planet.Desiree holds a Masters and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and has experience working on sustainability and circular economy consulting in the US, Spain and the Netherlands.
