Reading my kids' books again with my kid

When my son was born in 2000 I gave him all of my children's books I had as a child. Now that he's old enough I am reading them to him all the time. The other day he took out Sam and the Firefly and I asked him, 'Why this book?' as I always do. He answered, 'It has the Cat in the Hat on it.' We read it, and like Dr. Seuss, P.D. Eastman liked to write in a special way, and in a great way. I like reliving my childhood with my son and with the help of books like this. It's fun!

    Happy memory

My aunt must have read me this book 100 times. I decided to get it for my 4 year old. He loves it! The narrator has a great voice. I still love it myself!

    Birthday Gift

My 7 year old grandson absolutely loved the book (as did his XX year old Mom).
All things, Dr. Suess related, are enjoyable to him, me and his Mom.!

    Enjoyable Early Reader

This is a very cute story about somewhat unlikely friends, an owl and a firefly. One tries to keep the other out of trouble, with little luck, at first. So there's a lesson to be learned, but it's also an entertaining tale and a good book for children who are learning to read.

Love this book which makes my 3 and 5 year old laugh out loud! Great story of friendship and behavior that has consequences. A Dr Seuss book that does not disappoint

Loved this book ever since I was a child!

This is one of my all time favorite children's books. It is great for showing children that sometimes fun can be fun and then sometimes it can hurt other people. It shows it's important to think about how our actions affect others, using two fun characters.

Classic, we have the book and nook. Wish the nook version was cheaper.

Classic, we have the book and nook. Wish the nook version was cheaper. Limited selection of books once you get out of the P. D. Eastman books for young readers. It would be nice if some of the classics and newer books went into EBOOK format too. Heavy selling of the nook in the front office, It would be nice if the publishers bought into this idea too! Without them I just have another angry bird player, and Ipad does that much better!

    Doesn't work with iPad

Would not download on Nook Kids for iPad app. After many attempts, the app kept shutting down every time I tried to download. Horrible horrible experience with customer service. Took hours on the phone to get a refund- in the end it wasn't worth my time but the principle of it really got to me. I personally will not buy any of the Nook eBooks for iPad after this experience. There seem to be some glitches that B&N is working out. Understandable, but with poor customer service this isn't acceptable to me.

    Loves it!

Very simple illustrations and quite a long book. Took forever to download. My 4 year old loves it! Not sure if it's the story or if it's just because it's a "read to me" book". I liked the story & moral. I bought based on the reviews I read, no regrets.
