Children's Literature - Allison Fetters
Those sneaky goblins are at it again. Rachel Walker and her best friend, Kirsty Tate, learn from their mutual acquaintance, Samantha the Swimming Fairy, that her swimming goggles are missing and desperately need to be found. The goggles possess special fair magic that enable the wearer to be the best swimmer of all. As the Fairy Olympics is approaching, magic goggles are a much sought after item as the girls soon learn. In their desire to assist Samantha, Rachel and Kirsty discover that Aqua World, supposedly closed for maintenance, has been taken over by Jack Frost's goblins. It is here the girls discover the missing goggles. With the help of Samantha's fairy magic and teamwork, the girls are able to return the goggles to their rightful owner, Samantha. This book is engaging and contains entertaining pictures on almost every page. As a part of "Rainbow Magic Sports Fairies" series, the book shows a different glimpse into the world of fairy magic in the world of swimming. Reviewer: Allison Fetters

I bought my six-year-old daughter this book not long ago and she has really enjoyed it. In fact, she has decided to collect all of the Rainbow Magic Fairy books. My daughter chose this book because she likes to swim, so she could relate to the main character. The book is easy enough for her to read well with occassional challenging words. The ideas and story are very understandable as exciting for her. The book is in chapters so we usually read one or two chapters at a time which is great practice for a first grader or any young child that is required to read at home as part of school instruction. Its great to be able to have your child read something on their own and be able to discuss the lessons and adventures that the characters go through. We highly recommend this book and any other of the Rainbow Magic books!
