As a new Unix sysadmin coming over from the NT world I was given the task of setting up Samba on an AIX server. The catch, no one in the company had ever installed Samba and it has to be done yesterday because a VP needs to be able to browse the server. After looking through the documentation on samba.org and getting nowhere I picked up a copy of S for D. No exaggeration, with the help of this book I had Samba perking along nicely by the end of the day. I was also able to make some vital improvements to a second server which had Samba set up by a software vendor. Talk about coming out a hero. Was this review helpful?
