    What a Hoot!!!

This is one of the best children's stories I've read in years. The main character Sam wakes to find the world turned upside down. No one will do anything about it, so Sam starts out on a plan to turn the world rightside up. The adults aren't much interested in the project but the children rally to Sam's side and begin to inspire everyone in the town to get into the plan.

The illustrations in this book are captivating. They enhance the delightful story and they stimulate the child reader (or the child listener) to get into the story. Afterwards, the parent might want to ask the child if she or he has a plan for just such an event. Children ages three to eight will love this story. It is chock full of imagination and wonder!

    more from this reviewer

belief in their self and in their dreams.

Long ago the world was turned upside down. The sun shined all night and the stars all day. Rain fell upward from the ground to the sky. Sam knew something had to be done. He though hard to form a plan on how to make things right again. He tried to turn the earth over by himself but it was impossible. Adult s paid little attention so Sam sought help from his friends. More and more people tried to help.

Sam's Perfect Plan is the story on one boys belief in his own dreams. What a wonderful message to offer children, belief in their self and in their dreams. I also see a message of team work in this book. The story is well written. The illustrations are delightful. This book would make a great gift for children 5-9 years of age.

Such a cute story for your child

Sam's Perfect Plan..by Dr. Karen Hutchins Pirnot
    Illustrated by Julie Ross
Sam wakes up one morning to find that to him the world is upside down. After trying to get the adults to help him fix it, he gives up because they don't seem to care. He then takes on the help of kids, which are more than eager to help him. Eventually the adults get curious about what is going on with these kids so they decide to check it out to see what is going on. This is a wonderful, funny story and very enjoyable. And as with all of Dr. Pirnot's books, I love the illustrations. The outside and inside of this book will capture the interest of young readers. I encourage you to grab a copy of this book and read it to your small child, and let your older child read it for themselves. They will truly enjoy this story!
For an autograph copy of this book and other books by this author, visit her website.
I want to thank the author Karen Hutchins Pirnot for providing a copy of this book for me to review. I was not expected or required to write a positive review. The opinions in this review are mine alone.
