With the help of Sams Teach Yourself Facebook in 10 Minutes I was able to leaarn something about this Facebook fad, and try dabbling in it within a day or so. It took a bit more than 10 minutes, but then again, I was a complete novice. We haven't been able to get DSL where we live until a few weeks ago. So, we weren't able to get on Facebook because our dial-up was just too slow. Over the years, friend requests piled up, but we weren't able to respond by "befriending" anyone. When we finally got DSL I wanted to learn about Facebook before jumping in. I like to know what I'm doing before making a fool of myself, or getting in some kind of trouble like letting facebook "Friend" everyone in my phone book. This book let me get into facebook without making any glaring errors. I would say the book did it's job and was worth the price paid. I'm not an expert by any means, but I can navigate Facebook with some confidence.

Being new to Facebook, I want/needed to know what I was doing, especially with all the press concerning privacy. This book was immensely helpful in reviewing what needed to be done to stay safe and enjoy the social networking experience.
