    Learning HTML can't get easier and better than this!

    I recommend this great book for every one wants to learn HTML in less than one hour--Yes, I mean real one hour. If you can¿t learn from this book yourself, then you got a major learning disability and you should always consult an instructor. This book is concise, straight to the point and a must for every one wants to learn the basics of web publishing.

    I had a hard time understanding it

    I bought this book hoping it would teach me how to set up a web page. It was very helpful in many ways. It did answer many questions. But it was very hard getting though and I was not able to understand it all without help. I eventually took a course on starting your own web page and now the book makes sense. Don't buy this unless you have a good grasp of the internet and web page design already. Do buy if your taking a class or need refreshing on your web page.

    Beginner to Advanced in 24 Hours!

    The accompanying website for this book demonstrates Olver's technical skill. The book demonstrates his excellent writing skill. His style is comfortable while providing plenty of hands-on examples and clear step-by-step explanations. However, the only way to truly benefit from this book is to read it at the computer and do the examples. It may take a little longer than 24 hours, but it is well worth it. I used NotePad and IE5. You can always learn the development tools later, but knowing the HTML really helps. Be sure to check out the web-site. It really helps, too. I also suggest you get a copy of the graphics book he recommends in Chapter 9, Creating Paint Shop Pro Web Graphics. You can download a trial copy of Paint Shop Pro from their site, too!

    It really works in 24 hours, even with no previous experience! Great book! A must if you've got a web project due very soon and haven't a clue what to do.

    Great Book!

    Really easy to understand and read. Great for anyone who wants to learn HTML and how to make a web page using a great book. Learning how to make web pages and using HTML is explained very well in this book and was very helpful to me!!

    I have never read this version, I read the same book dealing with HTML 3.2, by the same man. and I loved it. Helped out alot.

    Great Book!

    This is a great book for someone who is single-handedly trying to learn HTML. From the beginning, everything is very well explained, in non-technical terms so that even the regular person can understand. Each subject is broken into a one-hour lesson that is very helpful and has you participating on your computer. Along with online examples, a list of all tags used in HTML 4, and many pictures of what the code looks like in both Netscape and IE, this is by far the best tutorial book for someone who is trying to teach themselves HTML.
