A book for experts and novices alike!

I love the content and format of this eminently readable AND portable book. Sutro covers the whole of San Diego County in an intelligent, concise style. The section on 'Urban Neighborhoods' is wonderful material for a person like me who loves to walk local neighborhoods and really check out the subtleties of local architecture. This book deserves an 'Orchid' (a yearly endeavor to point out the good and bad in San Diego architecture) for helping to educate San Diegans on the benefits of beautiful, daring, and lasting architecture.

This is such a great book!

This is such fun! I picked it up at the Contemporary ARt Museum downtown and started reading and looking at the great pictures, so I had to stop in Little Italy to look at a building, ditto in Mission Hills--it took me an hour to get home. Thank you AIA--we San Diegans have been needing this book!
