This was a great read. Good plot, great characters. I stayed up late to finish it.

Why are decisions always so hard.... thank god we don't have to make them in this time and age like back then. Good book that shows the struggle to either do your duty to your king and end up with a mean husband that beats you or choose love and live happy for a change.

I liked the book. It was a full length novel at about 600 pages. I think the middle was kind of flat then the action started and it was over. There was not as much heat or time spent on the love scene...but i guess that is realistic. I did enjoy the charectors and how Madelyn handled her drama with strength and determination when i would have been running for the hills.

I really wanted to like this book, but something about it fell flat for me. I thought the hero was rather a jerk, trying to enforce is "will" on a rather intelligent girl.
