Sanity Check’s driving philosophy is that we all goof up... but laughing at those
goof-ups with each other is a lot healthier than obsessing over them.
Sharon lives in Ohio with her husband, dog, two cats, and one very nervous fish,
and is the mother of two college-age daughters. She is forevermore grateful for
the wonderful beings, human and otherwise, who have graciously agreed to
(or at least accepted) starring in a decade’s worth of Sanity Checks.

Meet the Author

Sharon Short is the author of the novel My One Square Inch of Alaska, which won a 2011 Montgomery County (Ohio) Arts & Cultural District Literary Artist Fellowship and a 2012 Ohio Arts Council individual artist's grant. After a decade of creating Sanity Check, she is now the Literary Life columnist for the Dayton Daily News and directs the renowned Antioch Writers' Workshop in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Short is also the author of the Josie Toadfern and Patricia Delaney mystery series. She lives in Dayton, Ohio with her husband and is the mother of two college-age daughters.
