Meet the Author

Author Louise B. Gabriel is the president and founder of the Santa Monica History Museum, the source of this book's evocative photographs. She has served for 28 years as the museum's president and for 23 years as its curator. Her numerous awards include the Award of Merit from the Conference of California Historical Societies.
