Meet the Author

When he was teaching fifth and sixth grades in North Dakota, Kevin Kremer began writing stories with his students. It was largely due to their encouragement that he wrote his first book, "A Kremer Christmas Miracle," as a Christmas gift to his students and family. After that book was published, Kremer just kept on writing. Kremer loves sports. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Oklahoma Sooners are his favorite football teams, but he’s rapidly becoming a fan of some of the Florida college football teams since he moved there from North Dakota. Kevin has never met a Steelers fan he didn't like.

Dave Ely was once a student in author Kevin Kremer’s sixth grade class in Bismarck, North Dakota. Now, Dave is Kremer’s favorite artist. Dave is a self-taught artist with many talents. Besides illustrating books, he does custom wood carvings, bone sculptures, and paintings. Many of his works depict a Western or wildlife theme. Ely has done a life-sized bear carving and an eagle carving for the movie Wooly Boys. Among many other projects, Dave is presently working on a life-sized carving of a mountain lion. He recently accepted a job at the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck, North Dakota. Dave loves to get away from it all by camping and fishing. Red Lodge, Montana, is his favorite spot.
