Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal

Gr 1-4-This long-winded and awkward mix of an established legend and a newly created fantasy never really gets off the ground. Green introduces an original crew of "Sleigh Team Leaders" (pre-Rudolph) such as Galloper, Twister, and Felix and explains the finer facets of reindeer life at the North Pole through brief info-bits. An odd and assorted selection of calligraphic fonts decorates the dark and undefined illustrations. An attempt to be quaint often falls flat with generic sentences such as "Reindeer look forward to a visit from Santa Claus even more than children look forward to him coming on Christmas Eve." Santa's Reindeer will not make anyone believe in the magic of Christmas.-Madeline J. Bryant, Los Angeles Public Library

My 7 year old loves this book!

Santa brought this book for our daughter last year. She studied it, quoted from it, brought it to school, and shared it with her friends. This year we are asking Santa to bring "Santa Claus" by the same author.

    This Book is good!

It is neat to see all the reindeers and what they like and don't like. It is also neat because you get to see how the reindeers help Sants Clause!

    A reviewer

Wonderful accounting of how reindeers are selected and trained to help Santa. Written as factual information with fantastic graphics, literary style and all kinds of envelopes, pop ups etc to keep things interesting. A real keepsake to be treasured year after year. Perfect to keep or give. Children as well as adults will enjoy learning about the magic of Christmas.
