"I want a different colored suit--
I'm just so bored with RED!"

Young children will have fun with colors as they touch the fluffy white suit, the prickly green suit, the satiny pink suit, and many more! But Santa's search comes to an end when he realizes the suit he really wants is the velvety red suit because . . ."RED is the best, and it matches Rudolph's nose."

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
What a fun book to share with children. If your child ever has a hard time deciding what to wear, then they will love this book. Santa wants to change his Santa suit, but can't decide on a new color or design. Even though he tries many of them, there is always something wrong with it. One is too dark to fly in the night, and he looks just like a big giant lemon in a suit of yellow. Poor Santa. Every page offers suggestions and each of the pages have illustrations of the new suits that are made to be touched and felt by the reader. Fuzzy, soft, silky and bumpy are just a few of the materials to be explored. Even the cover has Santa's beard and fur made from a soft fuzzy material. Each page of the book is made of study cardboard for easy page turning by young children. This is great to read aloud to a young child and the vocabulary is such that a beginning reader can read it alone. Children will enjoy much pleasure from this touch and feel book. The illustrations are clever and show Santa in a wide variety of looks. The message of the book is that when you are looking for a new you, the best person you can be is just yourself. This is a super book to add to your holiday collection. 2003, Cartwheel Books/Scholastic, Ages 3 up.
