The Sapphire Talisman is book two in the Talisman Series and what a breath of fresh air it is! Pandos moves forward instead of back when it comes to her writing style. It’s obvious she’s matured and grown along with her main character, Julia. In this book we see the relationship between Julia and Nicholas grow, which was needed after their quick love st

The Sapphire Talisman was an enticing and compelling follow up to The Emerald Talisman. Brenda's flow of writing has developed since the first book. Her artistic potential and storytelling skills succeeded in formulating a wondrous continuation. The unexpected plot twists and defined characters helped me once again get lost in Brenda's creativity.

Brenda's writing was also even better in this book. As mentioed before she did a fablous job with develepment. Plus her transitions and pace were both great!

In all, The Sapphire Talisman is definitely one of the best sequels I've read in a long time, and I can't wait to see what Brenda has in store for all of her readers next!

    Hmmmm,.... Twilight deja v¿? AWESOME!!!!!

The love story here reminds me a little of Twilight. She wants Phil because he is hot, fun, and has totally devoted all of his attention to her. However, she wants Nick because he is, again, hot, but also kind, loving, and protective. It's like Phil is Jacob, Nicholas is Edward, and Julia is Bella!!! #2 is a must read! Can't wait to read #3!!!"

Great reading! Even though it was a little short, it didn't seem to be missing anything. Onward to the 3rd book!

review taken from One Book At A Time

I wasn't really invested in The Emerald Talisman. It was good, but felt like it had been done before. I picked up this one with no real idea if it could be better than the first. I'm happy to say that it was!
I liked Julia a lot more in this installment. She's risking more both for Nicholas and her friends and family. I understand the secrecy and sneaking out, but I could tell how heavy in weighted on her lying to her dad all the time. I enjoyed her bantering with Scarlett. I think they try to play off that they dislike each other, but I don't think completely true.
I also enjoyed the entire trip to LA. Nicholas opened up and introduced her to people that were important to him. I was also touched my Julia's visit to her grandmother and her mother's grave.

My favorite part involved Nicholas. This story isn't all lovey-dovey. I thought it had a dark side that was done very well. I liked how it showed Nicholas' other side that he tries so hard to control. I also really enjoyed the ending. It left me actually really wanting to read the next in the series!

    A Must Read!!

The continuation of The Emerald Talisman begins here in another delightfully amazing book by Brenda Pandos. Nick and Julia won our hearts in the first and amazing book. Now they are back to further entertain us, in the Sapphire Talisman.

...Everything is going great. The vampires are gone, for the time being. Love is in the air. Julia is able to spend a lot of time with Nick so long as she didn't tell her father! Sneaking out and going to school become her life. That is until after a romantic little get away. When they return everything has changed, and everything that Julia has known and enjoyed is gone. Old foes return, new alliances are made, and changes come by the page.

Another exciting read. Something that captured my attention from the moment I started it, and therefore it only took me a single day to finish the entire book. It was highly fast paced, heart wrenching, and yet so sweet at the same time. I found myself rooting for the unlikely people and getting angry at the ones I loved in the last book. Everything was so well written and played. A whole gambit of emotion runs through this book that will keep you guessing til the very last page.

    5 wonderful stars!

    A must read!!!

    The Sapphire Talisman

If you thought the story's over, think again . The Sapphire Talisman brings in a new chapter in the story of Julia and her adored torment, the mysterious half vampire; Nicholas. The presentation begins where its predecessor ends: The Emerald Talisman. Julia and Nicholas try to recover from the occurred situations while their relationship explored new areas, however, with few time gone by they see themselves involved in a new conflict, presented in Alora's familiar face. The story's main characters must decide where their loyalties are, where are they going and how the secrets they discover will affect them. If you like vampire stories where there's a touch between everything known regarding the topic and a spark of originality, this story will not let you down. Julia, as a main character, sticks a little bit out of the line from the typical narrator and shows sparks of strength and courage. Nicholas will be involved in a terrible change (depending on the crystal you look it with) and his secrets will be exposed, which will probably put at risk his relationship with Julia or unites them once and for all without looking back. My favorite aspect again in the story was Enigma. Its relationship with Julia is simply funny and the idea of this supernatural element is interesting. The plot's interesting and flows in a good way. However, there's a lacking X element to make Julia's and Nicholas' relationship reach another level for me as a reader. In addition, even though certain topics are interesting and do NOT take anything from the story, I feel there's a lot of Buffy The Vampire Slayer series' influence within the story. It's because of this influence that certain things are too convenient for the story's development and ending. The Sapphire talisman, where the saga continues, where old enemies will try to win, others return as allies and in the process a common girl will discover that maybe she's not that common and will embrace her destiny for good or worse.
