Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Sara really wants to be a circus performer so she decides that she must practice. She first decides to practice juggling. After a few weeks Sara can juggle and do a pretty complicated balancing act. She trains her cat and dog, learns to do stunts herself and even makes a fancy clown costume. She then tries on makeup to create the perfect clown face. To advertise her circus, Sara paints posters. She is now ready and her performance takes place in the driveway of her home in front of an attentive audience. This is a story told in 50 different words, all of which are listed at the end with a brief biography of the author and illustrator. Part of the "Rookie Reader" series, level B. 2002, Children's Press/Scholastic,
— Marilyn Courtot
