Overview

Sara finds herself asleep for six days after opening the door to find nothing but darkness in the middle of the day. Mickey tries to convince Nita, Sara's sister, that she will have to step up to the plate to help her sister survive the awful thing that has invaded not just their home, but their lives and her sister.

The girls are quickly lost and turn to Sebast, aka Magic Man, and his Maman to help Sara and bring her back from wherever she has slipped to. Magic, mystery, love and faith all combine togetehr to take the girls on what begins as a normal girls weekend and quckly escalates into a life and death struggle for Sara.

This is an introductory short story for "Ain't No Sense in Gathering Spanish Moss."

B Huckabee lives in Long Beach, MS with three of her six children, Christian, Aaron and Ethan. The other three, Joshua, Gabriel and Mathieu all live scattered here and there. She has several pets who include Lucky a miniature schauner she rescued from a drug addicted breeder, Mellow who was rescued from a puppy mill and is a miniature poodle, a cat named Tuesday courtesy of the Humane Society, a german shephere aka Stupid German Lap Moose, named T2 (No not after the movie), and a nameless beta fish who sits on top of the piano. B Huckabee is the nome de plume of Lou Anna Claveau. Ms. Claveau's mother wished to one day be published and now she has her wish fulfilled. Ms. Claveau hopes her writing makes her mother proud and honors her mother.
